10th December 2011 was the last day of the 2011 16 Days Campaign to end Gender Based Violence and UN WOMEN Project office for BIH decided to organize a public closing event in Sarajevo. The celebration took place on the 17th December 2011 in Sarajevo, in the Art House cinema Kriterion. The content of the campaign created by 16 young authors was compiled into the 2011 Edition of the 16 Days eBook “YOUTH SAY NO TO VIOLENCE!”, which was launched at the awarding ceremony .

The jury composed of UN Women project office for BIH and the mentors of the campaign, TNT Studio, selected two winners of the 2011 16 Days Campaign. Mensura Jazavčević was awarded as the author of the best short story and Sabina Ćudić as the author of the best photograph series. These two young authors received a grant to develop and contribute to a campaign for the International Women’s Day, 8th March.

Congratulations to both of them!

During the event, young volunteers were selling badges with the purple ribbon and all the collected funds were donated to a shelter in Zenica for women who were subjected to domestic violence.
