Publication is developed by Association “Budućnost” Modriča as part of the UN Women project “Standards and Engagement for Ending Violence against Women and Girls in Bosnia and Herzegovina”,  financially supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).

The baseline analysis is carried out in two regions of the Republika Srpska – East Sarajevo (Sokolac, Rogatica, Visegrad municipalities) and the Bijeljina region (Srebrenica, Bratunac, Milici municipalities) with the aim of assessing the capacities for prevention and suppression of violence against women and girls and domestic violence with emphasizing the implementation of psychosocial treatment for perpetrators of violence in the area of gender-based violence and domestic violence, assessing their effectiveness in the work on cases in practice, the degree of development of multisectoral cooperation and referral mechanisms, and making recommendations in terms of content, methodology and necessary resources for empowerment the capacity of local institutions to prevent and combat gender-based violence with a focus on psychosocial work with perpetrators of violence. It is an ambition that the recommendations obtained by this analysis encourage decision-makers to develop policies that will improve gender equality in accordance with the provisions of the Istanbul Convention, and facilitate civil society organizations’ advocacy efforts.
